Rich began his career troubleshooting and improving specific processes as an engineer. He quickly realized the value and importance of management systems and since 1990 has led thirty four plant sites to various manatement system certifications.

He successfully integrated Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental management systems during his most recent corporate position, and led his Division to be the first organization in the world to achieve 100% site certification to the integrated Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security technical specification, RC14001.

Rich has 18 years of quality, environmental, and health & safety management system experience. He has implemented ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, RCMS, and RC14001 systems with numerous manufacturers, including MeadWestvaco, WR Grace, and Westinghouse Electric.

Rich is proficient in the manufacture of films, automotive parts, specialty chemicals and polymers, circuit boards, wire/cable, laminates, assembly and continuous line operations, supporting equipment, and supporting services. He has knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan development, as well as, experience with SPC, SQC, Problem Solving Tools, Six Sigma, LM, and CI. Rich also has knowledge in customer satisfaction measurement and improvement methods.

Rich has conducted courses on quality, environmental, and health & safety management systems, as well as, systems integration, TQM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949, RC14001, RCMS, internal auditing, automotive core tools, quality tools, problem solving, and other related courses. He is qualified to instruct courses for BSI, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.

Rich is a RABQSA certified Lead QMS Auditor, as well as, a RABQSA certified Lead EMS Auditor. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and has worked with the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

Rich obtained his Master of Science at Southern Polytechnic State University in Quality Assurance (Quality Systems), and his Bachelor of Science with honors in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Pennsylvania State University. In recent years, he has been a speaker for the American Chemistry Council (National Conference) and a presenter for the American Society for Quality (National Conference).
