Don is an environmental associate with experience in consulting, engineering, and permitting in pharmaceuticals, petroleum, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. He has been a registered Professional Engineer (PE) since 1996.

Don has handled permitting and negotiations for GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Monsanto, Searle, as well as, the Department of Energy. He has also performed vessel certifications for NutraSweet, Olin, and the Department of Energy. Don has carried out remediation work for Chevron, Owens Corning, and Sonoco, plus air emission inventories for Merck and Searle.

Don has been the PE of record for certification of numerous plans for storm water pollution prevention, as well as, spill prevention, control, and counter measures. In his role of professional engineer, he has also evaluated and certified several hazardous waste storage systems for the Department of Energy and private industry.

Don was the PE and Permit Director for comprehensive environmental permitting of an $18,000,000 United DOE Regulatory Monitoring and Bioassay Laboratory at the Savannah River Site (SRS). His article on the development of an air emissions inventory was featured in the Chemical Processing magazine.

Don has been a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and lecturer on underground storage tanks. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Provisional Auditor of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
