Jim is an ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor, a certified Internal Auditor with the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA), and a Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor with the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB). Jim is also an IQA registered Lead TickIT Auditor for software systems.

Jim has over twenty-six years in the computer industry working for IBM. This included positions in software development, manufacturing production control and planning, computer maintenance, and computer operations.

Jim has been involved in software development for over seventeen years and has held virtually every position in that area from programmer to senior level headquarters positions coordinating the development and installation of large international manufacturing application projects.

For three years, Jim was responsible for the Quality and Process Management of a large application development project for an engineering management system. During that period, the project realized a 95% reduction in defects, a six-fold increase in productivity, and a 75% reduction in development cycle time. This project was the major development activity in the development lab when it became the first US IBM software development lab to become ISO 9001 and TickIT registered.

Jim is currently a Senior Lead Assessor with BVQI and has conducted over 500 quality system assessments during the last nine years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from New York University.
