Rick Randall

 
Richard C. Randall is an acclaimed author, contract executive, and management consultant promoting the development and use of self-sustaining, self-correcting, business management systems. Mr. Randall assists companies in defining their business model; promoting the use of advanced data management tools in their business systems.

Randall was also the author of "Randall's Practical Guide to ISO 9000" (part of the Prentice-Hall "Professional Technical Reference" library); a book widely acclaimed for its value to quality professionals, auditors, consultants, students, business professionals, and anyone with an interest in taking the most direct-line approach to quality system implementation leading to ISO 9000 registration.

Randall was formerly the Southeastern Regional Director for National Quality Assurance (NQA), one of the world's largest and most successful registrars offering more than ninety different scopes of registration. He is an IRCA registered QMS 2000 Principal Auditor, with expertise in the areas of Manufacturing, Electronics, Test Houses, Process Industries and Service Industries. He has participated in over 800 formal ISO 9000 audits - and continues to perform ISO 9000 audits on a contract basis for world class registrars such as NQA, USA, and Intertek Systems Certification, as well as, ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation audits for ACLASS.

Randall's credentials also include being the past National Quality Manager for GE Electronic Services, offering instrument calibration and repair services to the nuclear industry, transportation services industry, telecommunications industry, biomedical/pharmaceutical industry, and a variety of manufacturing industries. He received numerous awards for his performance in this capacity.

Randall co-authored the ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 American National Standard for Calibration: Calibration Laboratories and Measuring and Test Equipment - General Requirements; was a consulting editor for the 1997 edition of The Quality Yearbook from McGraw-Hill, and was a contributor to the 2nd edition of The Wiley Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology, from John Wiley & Sons.
