Larry Whittington is President of Whittington & Associates, LLC, a training and consulting company located in Marietta, Georgia. His broad experience includes strategic planning, technical education, management consulting, systems engineering, software development, quality auditing, and project leadership.

Larry is an IRCA certified Principal QMS Auditor and RABQSA certified Lead QMS Auditor. He performs audits for one of the world's largest registrars. In addition, he is a trained TickIT lead auditor for software systems and was an AIAG certified QS-9000 Lead Auditor for the automotive industry. Larry is also an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer.

Larry developed an RABQSA certified Lead Auditor course for BSI Management Systems. His highly rated Quality System Documentation and Implementation courses have been licensed for use by other trainers.

Larry teaches at the Center for Quality Excellence at Southern Polytechnic State University. He writes articles for quality magazines and speaks often at quality conferences and ASQ section meetings in multiple states. His free e-Newsletter on ISO 9001 and other quality management topics is read monthly by thousands of subscribers.

While at IBM, he managed the application software development process and advised multiple divisions on their ISO 9000 implementation activities. Larry also consults on the Capability Maturity Model developed by the Software Engineering Institute.

Larry received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with High Honors and a Master of Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Tau Beta Pi, and Sigma Tau honor societies. In addition, he is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and a senior member of the American Society for Quality.
