This course is designed to provide students with a basic knowledge and a degree of comfort with ISO 14001:2004. Students gain a working understanding of key environmental management concepts, such as aspect and impact identification, and setting objectives and targets. The course structure incorporates presentations and interactive discussions. An experienced instructor provides a detailed overview of the ISO 14000 series of standards and the registration process.

  • Understand the Requirements of ISO 14001:2004
  • Interpret the Clauses of ISO 14001:2004
  • Understand the Importance and Benefits of an EMS
  • Understand the Registration Process
Students receive comprehensive course manuals with reference materials, including a copy of ISO 14001:2004.

Audience

  • Anyone involved in the support or implementation of ISO 14001:2004
  • Those with limited or no experience with ISO 14001:2004 or Environmental Management Systems

Duration
The course is taught as a one-day class, with class hours of 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 

 

 

CEUs
The student certificates display 0.8 continuing education units for the class.

Fee
The class is $445 per student ($345 for budget classes in Reston, VA).
