Description
This course provides an overview of the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard. The specific requirements are interpreted for the manufacturing, software, and services industries. Class exercises at the end of each major ISO 9001:2008 clause help to reinforce application of the requirements.

Audience
This course introduces the ISO 9001:2008 standard to senior managers, quality managers, engineers, foremen, implementation teams, and internal auditors.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • explain basic quality system concepts
  • understand the process approach
  • describe the ISO family of standards
  • interpret ISO 9001:2008 requirements
  • identify the required documentation

Duration
This course is taught as a one-day class. For coverage of key implementation activities, documentation structure, audit preparation, and the registration process, attend our two-day Implementing ISO 9001:2008 course.

CEUs
The student certificates display 0.7 continuing education units for the class.

Fee
The flat rate for the 1-day onsite course is $2000, plus $25 per student, plus instructor travel expenses. Class size should be at least 4 students and no more than 20 students.
