This course emphasizes the importance of SPC in controlling and improving the production process and provides a non-invasive learning approach for using statistical methods in analyzing production processes. This course is consistent with the AIAG – DCX, Ford, GM Manual – Statistical Process Control, 2nd edition.

Learning Objectives

Understand the identification of basic statistical tools and the role that SPC plays in the overall Control Strategy of your organization.

After this training, the participants will have knowledge and understanding of:

  • Principals and practices of SPC and process analysis
  • How to build control charts and be able to construct and interpret them
  • Application of various basic statistical tools
  • How to incorporate SPC in the Control Strategy when developing your Control Plans
  • Variation, Process Control, Central Limit Theorem

  • Out of control signals
  • Capability Analysis
  • Individuals and Moving Range Charts

Course Materials

Students receive comprehensive course manuals with reference materials.


The course is intended for Quality Managers, QMS Auditors, APQP Team Members, PPAP Coordinators, Supplier Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, Quality Specialists, and QMS Management Representatives.


The only course prerequisite is basic math skills.


The course is taught as a one day class.

Day 1: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM


The student certificates display 0.8 Continuing Education Units.


The fee for the one day on-site course is $2000, plus $25 per student, plus instructor travel expenses. The class size should be at least 4 students and no more than 20 students.
